Join to apply for the Quality Assurance Automation Engineer role at Oxbury Bank Plc. We are looking for a quality-driven candidate to help elevate our engineering standards. As a QA Automation Engineer, you'll play a key role in assessing the quality of specifications and technical design documents, ensuring feedback is timely, relevant, and drives meaningful improvements. You'll be planning and implementing strategies for quality management, as well as testing.
We are Oxbury: The only UK bank dedicated to British agriculture. Founded by farmers, bankers, and technologists, we have combined the worlds of financial services, technology, and agriculture to provide bespoke financial products to support the rural economy.
Role Responsibilities- Create and maintain automated test suites.
- Analyse and report results.
- Represent QA in our Agile processes.
- Attend daily stand-ups.
- Champion the drive for quality throughout our delivery lifecycle, ensuring that testing remains a first-class component even when project timelines are challenging.
- Prepare Results Documentation and present the outcome of testing activities to a broad audience, including members of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Proven experience of software quality assurance engineering, backed up with demonstrable experience of QA methodology, including the use of Testing and Bug-tracking tools (Jira for preference).
- Ability to define and configure our testing framework. Highly proficient in the configuration and use of Test Automation tools, including the ability to script where necessary.
- Experience of the preparation and execution of Manual Test Plans, and also organising execution by other Business Users in collaboration with UAT.
- Experience of Non-Functional Testing and associated tools. Experience of testing Web UIs and APIs (preferably REST).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- At least a basic level of SQL experience.
- Experience with best practices in UX and a willingness to help improve user experience.
- Experience with Android and/or iOS mobile application testing.
- Experience writing BDD scripts for tools such as Gherkin or Behat.
- Knowledge of electronic data formats, such as XML, JSON, EDI or CSV.
- Computer science-based degree desirable but not essential.
- Experience with Automation test frameworks (Playwright, K6, codeceptJS, Selenium for example).
