User Acceptance Test (UAT) Analysts will plan, monitor, and control testing activities and tasks. UAT Analyst comes into play when the final programme has been released by IT and undergone Quality Assurance testing, serving essentially as business users and end users that try out all functions at least once and run through all possible eventualities when using them.
The role includes setting out the UAT plan and documenting the necessary tests to be carried out, as well as undertaking test runs to ensure the user-friendly rating of the product. As UAT Analyst, you will execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures, and test system modifications to prepare for implementation. You will also be responsible for facilitating regression testing.
Role Responsibilities- To write test documentation such as test plans, scenarios, scripts and reports.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing initiatives by communicating across multiple lines of business.
- Undertake the tests, ensuring that the scenario results are recorded.
- Work with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure completeness of testing.
- Document and report defects when they arise following the correct process.
- Partner with IT Teams to ensure testing environments are set up, testing data is loaded, and defect resolution is completed promptly before, during, and after go-live date.
- Undertake regression testing to ensure quality control is in place.
- Achieving the overall technical and functional acceptance criteria.
- Reporting any issues to the UAT Manager.
- Providing assurance on UAT signoff.
- 2-3 years’ experience in Quality Assurance methodology, including the use of testing and bug-tracking tools (Jira for preference).
- Experience of the preparation and execution of manual test plans and organising execution by other business users.
- Attention to detail and ability to clearly document defects.
- Ability to write test documentation such as test plans, scripts and reports.
- Skilled at testing processes and methodologies.
- Skilled at problem solving and good organisation skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Exposure to exploratory testing.
- Knowledge of any automation framework.
- Knowledge of non-functional testing.
- Demonstrate interest in enhancing knowledge; seeks opportunities to learn and grow.
