As a Security Analyst, you will monitor our endpoints, environments, and networks for security threats, deploy and maintain security tooling, and take ownership of day‑to‑day security monitoring. You will support the Lead Security Analyst to triage security events effectively, reduce noise and report consistently to stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities
- Monitor security solutions for alerts and events and respond in a timely and structured manner working with Outsourced SOC partner.
- Triage security events and escalate through the appropriate Incident Management procedure/change management and playbooks.
- Investigate and support the response to security incidents and breaches.
- Record and document security incidents, assessing their scope and any resulting impact.
- Remediate detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high security standard.
- Contribute to the development of company-wide best practices for IT security.
- Research emerging threats and security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
- Stay current on information security trends, standards, vulnerabilities and evolving threat landscapes in relation to Oxbury.
- Handle security information, logs, and investigation data appropriately, ensuring confidentiality and alignment with data protection requirements.
- Track and analyse security metrics, trends, and recurring issues to support continuous improvement of security operations.
- Produce and maintain regular security reporting packs for relevant stakeholders.
Required Skills / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- 1 year experience in information security or related field.
- Experience with security testing and techniques.
- Experience with firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
- Experience with end‑user endpoint security and vulnerability scanning.
- Experience with patch management, including the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding business impact.
- Experience with identification and mitigation of security vulnerabilities.
- Experience with Microsoft O365/Entra platform and associated services.
- Experience with AWS platform and associated services.
- Experience with Email Security Gateway.
- Good communication skills, with an ability to explain complex concepts using terminology that can be understood by non‑technical colleagues.
