This is a genuine number two appointment, working with the Head of Risk, Compliance and Governance and deputising when required. This isn’t a role where you’ll simply inherit a monitoring plan and keep things ticking over. You will help manage the day-to-day RCG function, own the Operational Risk Committee and play an influential role in developing the organisation’s risk, compliance and governance frameworks. You will lead key forums, influence senior stakeholders and help evolve frameworks as the business grows. The organisation partners with UK employers and other stakeholders to design and manage sustainable employee healthcare strategies that provide employees with access to private medical benefits.
- Leading the Operational Risk Committee
- Overseeing compliance monitoring and business assurance
- Developing risk, compliance and governance frameworks
- Supporting incident investigations and tracking actions
- Strengthening policies, controls and reporting
- Providing constructive challenge and practical guidance
Experience within healthcare, PMI, insurance distribution or another FCA-regulated environment would be highly beneficial.
Role can be based in either Bristol or Esher, Surrey. Hybrid – minimum three days a week in the office. Newly created role with future team leadership.
Please note- the salary range is deliberately broad because the business is open-minded about the level of appointment. This could suit an established manager stepping into broader influence, or a more experienced individual who can operate immediately as a senior deputy.
