A UK energy consultancy are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead on the design and delivery of sustainable, low-carbon heating and ventilation systems for some major energy user clients across the UK.
Our client's solutions include HVAC upgrades, EV charging solutions, the electrification of heat and embedded renewable energy technologies. This is a new role born out of business growth and would suit someone who wants more autonomy and responsibilities than their role allows. This role is hybrid, with some travel to the offices in West Yorkshire and travel to sites across the UK (all site travel paid for).
As Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll be responsible for conducting energy audits on sites across the UK, with the ultimate aim of reducing the energy spend across the commercial portfolio. You'll be the lead mechanical design professional for the business. You'll work alongside your electrical engineer counterpart, and will consult and instruct design consultancies to put together a proposal to the client. You'll then oversee the delivery process of the energy efficiency measures installed on site.
About you
- Experience in the design and delivery of sustainable, low-carbon heating and ventilation systems
- Experience in building physics and thermal comfort
- Experience supervising HVAC installations, ensuring performance and compliance
- Strong project management skills, including budget and timeline control
- Ability to produce detailed technical specifications and project scopes
- Degree / HND / HNC in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Competent in evaluating tender submissions for technical compliance, quality, and risk
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK
- A UK driving licence
