OXBO is partnered with a high-growth renewable energy platform seeking to appoint a Senior Business Development Manager to lead private wire Solar PV origination across the UK. Our client is a well-capitalised clean energy developer and IPP, actively scaling its UK C&I platform. With funding secured and a growing delivery capability, they are now focused on building a strong private wire pipeline with large commercial and industrial energy users.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for identifying suitable offtakers, structuring long-term PPAs, negotiating commercial terms, and managing opportunities through to Heads of Terms and financial close. The platform is capital-backed, delivery-ready, and highly ambitious, but needs a commercially sharp originator to drive new revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure private wire Solar PV opportunities with large C&I energy users
  • Develop direct relationships with energy-intensive sectors (manufacturing, logistics, data centres, food production, industrial parks, etc.)
  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline of behind-the-meter and adjacent-to-site opportunities
  • Lead negotiation of long-term private wire PPAs
  • Structure commercial models (asset ownership, fully funded PPA, landlord/tenant frameworks, sleeved arrangements)
  • Work closely with internal finance and technical teams to price and structure bankable projects

Deal Execution

  • Drive opportunities from early engagement through to Heads of Terms and financial close
  • Coordinate with grid, planning, legal and technical teams
  • Support land rights and easement discussions where required

Market Positioning

  • Monitor developments in UK private wire and corporate PPA markets
  • Build strategic partnerships with ICPs, energy consultants, DNO stakeholders and advisors
  • Provide commercial insight to senior leadership
