OXBO are delighted to be working with a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) focused on the development, construction, and operation of renewable energy projects, including solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems (BESS). The company are looking to add a Project Assistant, someone who has a real estate degree, to provide assistance across all areas of the company's solar, BESS, onshore wind, and other renewable energy projects.
You will provide support across all aspects of renewable energy projects, from project development to execution. With your background in real estate and an interest in renewable energy, you will help facilitate the smooth operation of project processes, assisting the in-house planner, development managers, and senior staff. This role offers you the opportunity to learn about the renewable energy industry, gain hands-on experience, and develop your skills in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Project Support: Assist in managing various aspects of solar, BESS, and onshore wind projects, including site selection, land acquisition, permitting, and project execution.
- Real Estate and Land Management: Support the team with land acquisition processes, landowner negotiations, and securing necessary rights for project development.
- Market Research: Conduct research on potential sites for renewable energy projects, analysing market trends and opportunities from a real estate perspective.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal teams, landowners, regulatory bodies, and other external stakeholders to ensure seamless project development and execution.
- Financial and Commercial Analysis: Assist with cost estimation, budgeting, and financial feasibility analysis of renewable energy projects from a commercial and real estate perspective.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and financial reports.
- Learning and Growth: Be proactive in learning the renewable energy industry, its regulatory frameworks, and the technical aspects of solar, BESS, and wind projects.
- General Administrative Support: Provide ad-hoc support to the project team, assisting wherever necessary, from meeting preparation to data management.
Requirements
- Education: Recent graduate with a degree in Real Estate, or related field. A keen interest in renewable energy is essential.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: A commercially-focused, entrepreneurial attitude and a willingness to think creatively and take initiative in supporting projects.
- Strong Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Strong skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with project management tools is a plus.
