I’m working with a growing renewable energy business that is looking to hire a Development Associate into its development team.
This would suit someone with 1-3 years’ experience in the energy or renewable energy sector who wants to broaden their experience across the full development lifecycle.
The role will provide exposure to a range of renewable energy projects across the UK and Europe, supporting activities across land, grid and planning.
A particularly important part of the role will be grid coordination – working directly with DNOs, following up on actions, chasing responses and making sure projects continue to move forward.
You’ll be involved in:
- Supporting renewable energy projects through the development lifecycle
- Land, grid and planning activities
- Coordinating with DNOs and other external stakeholders
- Following up on grid applications, queries and actions
- Keeping projects and stakeholders organised and moving forward
- Supporting senior members of the development team across a range of projects
- Helping identify and resolve development issues as they arise
What they’re looking for:
- 1-3 years’ experience within energy, renewables or a related infrastructure environment
- Exposure to project development is highly desirable
- An understanding of land, grid and/or planning processes
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Someone comfortable picking up the phone and speaking to/chasing DNOs rather than waiting for things to happen
- Organised, proactive and commercially minded
- Someone who enjoys working across multiple projects and getting stuck into whatever needs doing
London – 3-4 days per week in the office. This is a great opportunity for someone relatively early in their renewables career to gain broad development experience across multiple areas of project development, rather than becoming siloed into one particular discipline.
