OXBO are partnering with a well-established Onshore Wind Asset owner who operate across Europe and the US. Their wider portfolio includes a 1GW onshore wind portfolio in the UK. They are now seeking an Electrical Engineer to support electrical performance and reliability of their Onshore Wind assets across the UK. This is a key technical role, providing expertise to operations while ensuring safe and compliant performance of electrical infrastructure across multiple sites.
The role will consist of routine HV Switching and Preventative Maintenance.
Home working: 3 days on site, two days from home (can be flexible if site work is preferred)
Working hours: The working hours are 9-5pm, but every third weekend you may be on-call.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical assistance and electrical engineering knowledge to the operations, procurement and health and safety teams.
- Perform the procurement, requisitions, purchase orders from spares parts, new parts and suppliers.
- Manage preventive and corrective electrical infrastructure maintenance on BOP, switchgears, transformers, generators and converters.
- Improve wind sites availability by assessing the condition of electrical components and providing solutions when issues occur.
- Review reports from preventive and corrective interventions and perform the appropriate follow up.
- Conduct, support, manage and review the RCA analysis on electrical component failures.
- Maintain site grid compliance by responding to queries and audits.
- Senior Authorised Person desirable
- Eligible to live and work in the UK
- Experience with HV Switching/Substations
- Experience in Fault finding
- Experience in Renewable Energy is desirable but not essential.
