A well-backed and rapidly growing renewable energy developer is seeking an experienced Head of Construction to lead the construction and delivery of utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects across the UK. With a strong secured pipeline and significant growth ambitions, this is an opportunity to join an established platform delivering critical infrastructure that supports the UK’s transition to clean power.
This role would suit someone currently operating at Senior Project Manager / Delivery Manager / Construction Director level within renewables, utilities or infrastructure who is looking for broader responsibility, commercial exposure and a genuine leadership opportunity.
You’ll take ownership of project delivery from pre-construction through to energisation across a portfolio of large-scale renewable energy projects.
Key responsibilities:- Leading EPC and ICP contractor selection, procurement and contract negotiations
- Managing construction delivery for utility-scale solar and BESS developments
- Overseeing programme, budget, risk and stakeholder management
- Coordinating grid connection activities with DNOs and National Grid stakeholders
- Supporting planning, land and commercial workstreams during project development
- Working closely with investors, advisors and senior leadership teams
- Driving delivery performance across multiple live projects nationwide
- 5+ years’ experience delivering renewable energy or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of EPC contracts, construction delivery and project controls
- Experience within solar PV, battery storage, utilities or related sectors
- Commercially minded with strong stakeholder management capability
- Able to operate autonomously in a fast-paced growth environment
- Experience managing multidisciplinary consultants and contractors
