A scale up renewable energy IPP are seeking a Construction Grid Manager for their growing construction team. Our client has an impressive pipeline of Solar PV and BESS projects entering construction in the next 12 months (10MW - 100MW+). Their established in-house construction team require a Grid Manager with experience on the construction side of renewable energy projects, to assist with the design and execution of their projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, execution and planning application support of projects
  • Guarantee DNO/IDNO compliance with regulations and best practice
  • Internal stakeholder collaboration
  • Guarantee project stability, efficiency and reliability
  • Guarantee project budgets and deadlines are met
  • Assist wider team with grid applications
  • Create and streamline grid models
  • Ensure system compliance and reliability (manage load flow, short circuit and stability)
  • Design and analyse MV/HV systems
  • Conduct assessments of grid performance

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field
  • Knowledge of grid code
  • Substation engineering experience
  • Track record in grid engineering
  • Experience in integration of renewable energy projects to the grid
  • Experience in DNO/IDNO liaison
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
