The Company

OXBO are delighted to be working with a leading international Solar, Onshore Wind & BESS IPP to add an Environmental Associate to their team in Edinburgh.

This role would be perfect for someone who has a background in working in the environmental space in renewables across either development or construction, but wants to expand their skillset to the whole lifecycle of a project.

In the role, you will have a wide array of responsibilities where you will ensure the environmental compliance of Solar, Onshore Wind & BESS projects throughout the development, construction and operations phases.

Responsibilities

  • Support environmental viability assessments of potential sites and provide support to the project team to ensure compliance with the environmental regulations as a project progresses through its environmental assessments.
  • Oversee environmental compliance throughout the entire construction phase of all projects, from start to finish, to ensure adherence to environmental specifications identified in the environmental management plans and those defined by the regulations.
  • Collaborate with the O&M team and contractors to ensure effective management of the installation’s environmental requirements and in compliance with the procedures set out in the Environmental Plans and Environmental Management System.

Requirements

  • Environmental-related degree or qualification.
  • Certifications may be advantageous.
  • 3 years in environmental management-related jobs with experience in renewables.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Regulations.
  • Data Management and Reporting.
  • Environmental matters at at least one stage of the lifecycle of the project (from origination to operation).
