OXBO are delighted to be working with a leading UK based, multi-technology (Solar/BESS/Wind) renewable energy IPP to add a Community Engagement Manager to their team in London.
In conjunction with project managers, lead and coordinate engagement with stakeholders relevant to each project, including MPs, MSPs, Councillors, Community Councils and groups, and press.
Lead reporting and evaluation of project communications activities including initially supporting project managers with development of project communications strategy, then reviewing weekly status, monthly summary reports to ensure agencies are delivering against agreed objectives, timelines, and agreed budgets.
Coordinating external community events, leading as the main point of contact between the project developers and the impacted communities.
Establish and ‘own’ the central communications calendar ensuring it is kept up to date with project communications milestones, industry events and parliamentary activity.
Coordinate and copy edit the production of project specific communications materials including consultation event materials, FAQs, media materials and website updates.
Project manage production of marketing materials including branded collateral using the Client’s brand guidelines and briefing external suppliers as required.
Regularly review industry news, national media and competitor communications activity to understand trends within the sector then use insights to strengthen project communications output.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Environmental Studies, or related field.
- ~3+ years in community engagement, public relations, or similar roles.
- ~ Experience in the development of major projects, ideally the renewable energy sector.
