OXBO are pleased to once again be working with an established international renewable energy IPP who are seeking a Senior Development Manager to join their growing London-based team. This company has a strong track record in utility-scale solar, BESS (battery energy storage) and hybrid renewable projects, with an expanding portfolio across the UK and Europe, including operational assets. With significant investment backing and a collaborative culture, they offer an exciting platform for ambitious professionals who want to make a genuine impact on the journey to net zero.
The Role
- Site identification, feasibility, and grid connection strategy
- Planning and permitting processes
- Land and stakeholder negotiations
- Financial modelling, project appraisal, and risk management
- Coordination with technical, legal, and commercial teams
You’ll report directly into the UK country manager, and this role has scope to become a Development Lead / Head of Development into the future.
About You
You’re an experienced renewables professional with a solid background in project development - ideally across solar PV, battery storage, or onshore wind. You can balance the technical and commercial aspects of development, with the confidence to lead negotiations and manage key stakeholders.
You’ll likely bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in renewable energy project development
- Strong knowledge of UK planning and grid connection processes
- Proven ability to take projects from concept to consented stage
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
