OXBO are partnering with a scale-up UK energy company that is transforming how large energy users power their operations. Following significant project wins and continued growth, the business is opening a new office in Leeds and is looking for a Building Services Engineer to support the delivery of complex, cutting-edge energy infrastructure projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone earlier in their project management career to join a scaling company and gain exposure to innovative distributed energy projects, working alongside experienced engineers and project managers.
The Opportunity
You will support the delivery of technically interesting energy projects for major logistics and industrial clients across the UK. These sites require bespoke energy solutions combining private electrical networks, grid connections and on-site generation technologies. Projects may include combinations of:
- 11kV+ private electrical distribution networks
- Utility and DNO grid connections
- Solar PV generation
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Combined Heat & Power (CHP)
- Backup and resilience generation
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the delivery of multi-technology energy infrastructure projects
- Assisting with DNO applications and grid connection processes
- Coordinating internal engineering, design and construction teams
- Supporting project planning, scheduling and reporting
- Working with contractors and suppliers to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently
- Attending project meetings with clients and stakeholders
- Supporting site activities during construction and commissioning phases
- Assisting with the management of multiple projects across logistics and industrial sites
What We're Looking For
- Engineering qualification or relevant technical background (eg electrical, mechanical, building services, etc)
- 2–5 years experience working on electrical infrastructure, power, utilities, or energy projects
- Exposure to grid connections, HV/LV systems, or energy infrastructure projects
- Based in Leeds or within commuting distance (once office opens)
- Full right to work in the UK
