Job Description
LGV Class 1 Bitumen Driver – Night Driver – Permanent (Full-time)
Working Hours and Shift Pattern
Guaranteed 40 hours per week with potential for overtime. The job involves working Monday to Friday PM shifts, with required weekend work. Shift start times are changeable between 3pm and 7pm, and the driver is required to sleep out in their cab during the shift.
Pay
Hourly Rate £25.00 with a £2.00 supplement per hour for hours worked between 9pm and 4am, and weekend overtime paid at £42.11 per hour for shifts that begin between 4:00pm Friday and 6:00pm Sunday. Guaranteed annual salary: £51,996.05. London Allowance £1,000 per annum, paid monthly in 12 instalments. January attendance bonus of £1,000 may apply.
Selection Criteria
- Essential
- Hold a current LGV C+E licence with actual driving experience.
- Hold a valid Driver Qualification Card.
- Have no more than three penalty points on your licence, none for drink/drug or dangerous driving offences.
- ADR licence classes 2 and 9.
- Previous tanker experience.
Requirements
- Be available for AM shifts.
- Have flexibility to do nights out on a regular basis at short notice.
- Live within a maximum of 45 minutes commute from the job location.
- Maintain high levels of customer focus with keen eye for detail and process.
- Follow instructions in line with company procedures and industry guidelines.
