Role Summary
To manage the delivery work plans produced for any Oxalis vehicle across the UK and Ireland, ensuring required customer service levels are met whilst optimising the efficiency of the operation and meeting key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that the delivery schedules for over 300 vehicles are completed on time and in full.
- Vetting plans for errors and coordinating drivers during the shift to ensure their individual schedules are implemented and completed safely.
- Advise customers of any delays or changes to their deliveries.
- Resolve any issues that arise during the shift and demonstrate continuous improvement against various internal and external service and efficiency KPIs.
- Liaise with the Planning Supervisor and field management team to ensure resources are provided at appropriate times and manage downtime in resource.
- Assist Customer Service Administrators in investigating customer complaints and delivery queries.
Hours of work: Working 12 hours shifts, approximately 33 hours per week, on a rotating shift pattern that covers days, nights, and weekends.
Requirements
Essential
- A confident and friendly telephone manner and ability to liaise with people at all levels of our organisation.
- Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Be a team player who can work to individual and shared deadlines.
- Proficient in IT, particularly Microsoft Office - Outlook and Excel.
- Live within a commutable distance.
- Be flexible in working hours and have the ability to cover shifts when required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Ability to work a shift pattern that covers mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Working knowledge of UK geography.
- Educated to A-Level (or equivalent) standard.
Desirable
- Understanding of Drivers Hours Regulations.
- Experience of working in just-in-time road-haulage environment, dealing directly with drivers.
- Experience working in the transport industry.
