LGV Class 1 Bitumen Driver - Night Driver
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Working Hours and Shift Pattern:
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week with potential for overtime.
- The work involves working Monday to Friday PM shifts, however some weekend working will be required.
- Shift start times will be changeable between 3pm and 7pm, and you will be required to sleep out in your cab as a part of the role.
Pay:
- One off Joining Bonus of £3,000 for applicants with recent Bitumen experience (in the last 6 months), payable on completion of 6 months service.
- Hourly Rate £26.55 with a £2.12 supplement per hour for hours worked between 9pm and 4am.
- Weekend overtime paid at £44.60 per hour for overtime shifts which begins between 4.00 pm Friday and 6.00 pm Sunday.
- Guaranteed Annual Salary: £55,219.80.
- You are eligible to receive a London Allowance of £1,000 per annum, which is paid monthly in 12 equal instalments.
- In January of each year, you may be eligible to receive an Attendance Bonus of £1,000.
Selection Criteria:
- Essential: Candidates must;
- Hold a current LGV C+E licence. We are looking for actual driving experience, and not only how long you have held the licence.
- Hold an up to date and valid Driver Qualification Card.
- Have no more than 3 penalty points on your licence, none of which are related to drink/drug driving offences or dangerous driving.
- An ADR (classes 2 and 9).
- Previous tanker experience.
You are required to:
- Be available for AM shifts.
- Have the flexibility to do nights out on a regular basis when required, at short notice.
- Live within a maximum of 45 mins commute from the location at which you are applying to work.
- Maintain high levels of customer focus with a keen eye for detail and process.
- Be able to follow instructions in line with comprehensive Company procedures and within strict industry guidelines.
What we can offer you:
As part of our on-going training programme, Oxalis will provide annual training and 7 hours of accredited DCPC training per full year of service, to count towards DCPC renewal.
