The client is a fast-growing fintech and trading infrastructure group looking for an experienced Trade Operations Manager to support our US and Hong Kong cash equities business. This is a hands-on role responsible for managing the full trade lifecycle, supporting brokerage operations, settlement, reconciliation, broker connectivity, and API integrations. You'll work closely with Trading, Technology, Compliance, and external brokers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations across global equity markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day trade operations for US and Hong Kong cash equities.
  • Monitor the full trade lifecycle, including order flow, execution, trade booking, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and corporate actions.
  • Investigate and resolve trade breaks, settlement failures, position discrepancies, and operational exceptions.
  • Coordinate with brokers, custodians, clearing firms, and exchanges to ensure efficient trade processing.
  • Support broker onboarding, account setup, trading permissions, and operational workflows.
  • Work with internal technology teams on broker API connectivity, testing, troubleshooting, and system enhancements.
  • Support operational improvements through automation, reporting, and process optimization.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years' experience in Trade Operations, Brokerage Operations, Middle Office, Settlement, Clearing, or Trading Support.
  • Hands-on experience with cash equities is essential.
  • Strong understanding of the full equity trade lifecycle, including execution, settlement, custody, reconciliation, and corporate actions.
  • Experience working with brokers, custodians, clearing firms, or trading platforms.
  • Familiarity with brokerage systems, OMS/EMS platforms, APIs, and market infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent English; Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage for Hong Kong-based candidates.

Preferred Experience

  • US and/or Hong Kong equity markets (NYSE, NASDAQ, HKEX).
  • Securities lending, stock borrowing, IPO settlement, custody, or depository operations.
  • Experience with DTCC, DTC, NSCC, CCASS, FIX Protocol, SQL, Python, or REST APIs.
  • Background in brokerage, fintech, trading platforms, hedge funds, prime brokerage, or securities firms.
