HEAD OF AI

You'll build and grow a new AI service pillar for our group, and revenue growth is your first priority. You'll take a first offer to market in your first week. Then you'll build AI as a Service into the managed IT we provide to the small and medium-sized businesses we look after.

JOB DETAILS

• Job title: Head of AI
• Reports to: Operations Director
• Location: Remote within the UK, with regular travel to our group companies and to client sites
• Contract: Permanent, full time
• Salary: £90,000 to £120,000 a year
• Hours: 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours a week)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Grow revenue

• Own the AI revenue strategy and a 12 to 18 month roadmap, and deliver them
• Take a first AI offer to market in week one
• Structure and price AI as a Service as part of our managed IT offering

Build the pillar

• Turn AI into repeatable services, building the first ones yourself
• Hold the AI team and tools budget, and hire and grow the team

Bring the group with you

• Train and equip account managers across every group company to sell AI
• Keep AI safe and compliant, with our Compliance Manager

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

You'll need

• You've built and grew revenue from a new technology service or practice, owning its go-to-market plan
• You've turned AI or automation into repeatable services clients paid for, including scoping, pricing model and delivery
• You build with large language models hands-on, for example Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry or another major model platform
• You've held a budget and hired people into a growing team
• You set practical guardrails for AI use covering data protection, security and accuracy
• You explain AI plainly to business owners and trains others to sell and support it

It would help if you have

• Experience in an IT managed services provider or consultancy
• Recurring or subscription pricing experience
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 42001 or AI governance
• Python or C# for AI applications

HOW WE'LL KNOW IT'S WORKING

• First 90 days: A first AI offer in market, and your roadmap and revenue plan agreed.
• 6 months: AI as a Service live across the group, and your team in post.
• 12 months: AI revenue growing to target, with every group company selling it.
