Title – Senior Designer

Location – East London

Hybrid – 3 days in the office per week

Salary – Circa £60-70k depending on experience

We are hunting an exceptional strategic Snr Brand Designer – an growing expert at taking on complex rebranding assignments for major brands across sectors.

Of course we are looking for a portfolio with deep strategic projects but we are also looking for an individual who is already showing leadership and diligence in managing projects, reports and clients directly.

Overview of job role

Working with our founder, and creative director, we are looking for a person who can

bring their extensive creative experience and strategic vision to our team. With 7-8 years

of industry experience, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and

strategic direction of all our branding projects.

We’re looking for a curious, diverse thinking and innovative individual who thrives in a

collaborative environment, working closely with our strategic team who has a keen eye

for detail and understands the value of branding to our clients.

We are a SME agency with big brand experience. Our project and client ambitions are

on parity with larger agencies. Size does not reflect ambition, and we are looking for

someone who can join our team with a similar attitude, get involved and be a team

player.

Requirements

  • Experience: 7-8 years of experience in a branding design agency working across various sectors.
  • Strong presentation skills: Some experience presenting to C-suite and / or company stakeholders
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Be able to communicate with both the internal team and clients. This involves listening as well and as being active in conversations
  • Curious: Have the want and / or inherent quality to look at the wider picture and explore things differently. Explore the why, and the broader context around culture, trends and consumer behaviour.

Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of branding projects and

creative brand identity ideas across B2C and B2B audiences.

Leadership: Proven leadership skills with experience in mentoring and managing

design teams. Be able to encourage as well and actively problem solve.

Project Management: Strong organisational and project management skills, with a

track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Education: A degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communication

Software: Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop,

InDesign). Knowledge of moving image and animation (After Effects and Premier Pro)

Knowledge of digital design tools including Figma and Miro.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Leadership:

  • Lead the creative development of all branding projects from concept through to completion.
  • Ensure all design work meets the agency’s high standards and client expectations.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering a culture of learning and development.

Project Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day workflow and resourcing of the design team, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
  • Initiate regular design critiques, providing constructive feedback and encouraging creative exploration to ensure that projects have clarity of concept and head in the right direction, before critiques with the wider director team.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered within scope, time and budget.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with strategy, copywriting and account management teams to deliver cohesive and impactful branding solutions.
  • Collaborate with external partners and vendors when necessary.

Client Interaction:

  • Present and articulate design concepts and strategies to clients, ensuring clear communication and understanding of their vision and needs.
  • Lead client meetings and presentations with confidence and professionalism.

Internship Program:

  • Support the agency’s internship program, including recruitment and mentorship of design interns.
  • Foster a supportive and inspiring environment for interns to grow and develop their skills.
  • Build relationships with university lecturers and attend university shows to find emerging talent.

Innovation and Trends:

  • Stay up to date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Promote a culture of innovation within the design team, encouraging experimentation.
  • Contribute to the agency’s thought leadership by sharing insights and trends with the broader team.
