Creative Artworker (freelance) — corporate/in-house

Client: In-house Creative Studio in a global corporate environment

Location: 3-4 days on-site, City of London

Payrate: £300-350 depending on experience

The role

We need a Creative Artworker who can apply their strong understanding of typography, layout, branding and data visualisation skills, by interpreting complex ideas and translating them into compelling designs. We are looking for someone who isn’t scared to work on presentations and get stuck into PowerPoint/Keynote, when necessary.

About you

You will have 5+ years minimum experience working in an in-house or agency environment as a graphic designer or very similar role. You must have a stand-out portfolio (pdf or website) showcasing relevant experience to apply. You are a people-person, who thrives when working with your clients. You can effectively communicate and deliver presentations and understand how to use storytelling, pace and volume to create clear and compelling propositions.

Your responsibilities

  • Producing high-quality design work including: presentations in a range of formats – InDesign, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Large reports, tenders and other literature and web assets
  • Asset creation – resizing, building out assets based on designs
  • Clearly communicating your work and the thinking behind it
  • Enhancing existing slides and generating powerful new content for presentations, while promoting the company’s visual identity
  • Devising creative and imaginative ways to bolster content and make it stand out, including the use of animation builds and infographics
  • Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, layout, hierarchy, space and colour
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Great with clients
  • Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines independently
  • Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
  • Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and Keynote
  • Confident working with other staff and taking creative direction
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with other departments within the agency to solve problems
