As the Data Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality, accuracy, and integrity of data held across The Owl Centre's systems, with a particular focus on Nest and associated reporting platforms. You will support operational teams by identifying, investigating, and correcting data quality issues, ensuring information is complete, consistent, and compliant with organisational and NHS data standards. You will work closely with service teams, administrators, clinicians, managers, and the Change Team to improve data quality, support reporting requirements, and assist with continuous improvement activities. Ultimately, you will play a key role in ensuring that organisational data can be relied upon for reporting, service delivery, decision-making, statutory returns, and regulatory compliance.
This position is a hybrid role, requiring a presence in our Pontypool Office at least 2 days per week.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Data Quality Management: Resolve data quality issues in business systems by regularly reviewing and correcting records, which will ensure our data remains accurate, consistent, and reliable for reporting. Escalate complex data anomalies to senior team members by proactively monitoring reports, which will prevent long-term system errors and maintain data integrity.
- System Administration Support: Maintain client records within the Nest platform by applying organisational data standards, which will ensure service teams always have access to high-quality, up-to-date information. Assist with data structure changes and system updates by supporting the implementation process, which will ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Compliance and Information Governance: Ensure all data handling complies with GDPR, NHS governance, and internal policies by strictly following established confidentiality procedures, which will protect sensitive information from breaches. Support internal and external audits by collating and providing accurate documentation, which will demonstrate our ongoing compliance with regulatory standards.
- General Responsibilities: Promote continuous improvement within the department by actively participating in meetings, training sessions, and following internal procedures, which will foster a culture of learning and operational excellence.
