About the Role

The Director, Pharma Business Development Diagnostic has the opportunity to grow our business with pharmaceutical companies by generating new leads, securing strategic partnerships, managing key accounts, and contributing to the go-to-market strategy to implement digital pathology diagnostics that improve clinical decision-making and patient outcomes. You will directly manage your portfolio of work with key clients and be responsible for identifying and closing new business opportunities with a focus on long-term renewable engagements. Reporting to the VP Business Development, you will promote Owkin Diagnostics' AI/ML technology to enhance biomarker discovery, clinical trials, market access, and commercial efforts in pharma. The role requires cross-team collaboration with Data, R support market positioning and the go-to-market strategy with competitive and market intelligence. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment with client needs and market positioning, delivering world-class digital pathology diagnostics. Build Owkin’s reputation as a pioneer in AI and digital pathology diagnostics within pharma and biotech through thought leadership.

About You

  • Proven track record in business development and account management within pharma, biotech or diagnostic sectors, with experience in high-value Diagnostic and CDx collaborations.
  • Experience driving revenue growth and closing high-value Diagnostics/CDx collaborations, clinical trials and/or service partnerships with pharma.
  • Deep understanding of Pharma MBA preferred; Masters/PhD in Pharmacy, Medicine, Molecular Biology, Epidemiology, HEOR, Genetics or Oncology.
  • Proactive, independent, tenacious and adaptable; maintains integrity and professionalism; strong sense of humor valued.
  • Excellent English communication and writing skills; proven ability to run effective sales, business, and negotiation meetings.
  • Computer literacy (Google Suite, Slack, Salesforce, Mac).
  • Interest in innovative research and AI as it relates to clinical diagnosis.
  • Experience in a PE/VC-backed startup environment is a plus.
