Location: Bynea Llanelli (Office based role only)
Salary: £26,250 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
About The Role
We are seeking a reliable, highly organised and detail‑orientated Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team on a 12‑month maternity cover contract. You will work closely with colleagues across the business, contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment. At the same time, you'll be confident managing your own workload, using your initiative to meet deadlines and maintain accurate financial records. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within a supportive and professional environment, with the possibility of an extension depending on experience and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
- Matching, batching, and coding invoices
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Preparing payment runs
- Handling supplier queries in a timely and professional manner
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Assisting with month-end processes as required
- Other ad‑hoc duties as assigned by the Financial Controller
About You
- Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
- Experience in payroll processing would be an advantage but is not essential.
