PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The CNC Setup Machinist is a salary (non-exempt) position, and reports to the Operations Leader. The employee is accountable to set up and run the Mazak M4 CNC Lathe, Haas VF-4 CNC Mill, Integrex 30 CNC Lathe, and the Mazak SV-20 CNC Mill. The operator is responsible for meeting the quality requirements for all parts run on these machines.
Currently, this position works a 10-hour day shift, 4am-2pm, Monday through Thursday. Starting pay is $30.51.

Job Responsibilities
- Follows all Owens Corning safety policies and procedures.
- Operate the machinery to perform all operation sequences for production.
- Ability to set up each machine to manufacture all parts in the Small Parts family of products.
- Inspect parts, at each sequence, to ensure part quality requirements.
- Maintain part identification throughout the process.
- Must be able to set up and replace broken tools.
- Keep machines running at a level that meets scheduled production demands.
- Enter time and production of all parts produced in Global Shop daily.
- Maintains clean and orderly housekeeping in all assigned areas, following all Owens Corning safety practices.
- Performs other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the Operations Leader and other members of the Leadership Team.
Job Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required
- 3-5+ years CNC or manual experience in a production environment, including set-up experience; CNC programming and troubleshooting experience required

- Operate a computer or other keyboard instrument

- Learn and develop competency in other specialized software
Education And/Or Experience
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required
- 3-5+ years CNC or manual experience in a production environment, including setup experience
- CNC program editing required, programming experience preferred
- Must be a US citizen
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be drug and alcohol free
Essential Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Regular attendance on site
- Moving up to fifty pounds periodically
- Standing frequently
- Walking frequently
- Hand-eye coordination continuously
- Hand dexterity to operate crane pendants and CNC controls
