The Role
We are looking to recruit a high calibre Civil Litigation Solicitor with a minimum of 2 yearβs PQE for Maternity Cover starting in May. The ideal candidate will be confident managing a complex caseload and have excellent client care and communication skills across all levels. Whilst this is a maternity cover position, there is an opportunity that this progresses into a permanent role.
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing a range of litigation matters from initial instruction through to matter conclusion.
- Providing cost estimates to new clients.
- Opening files and progressing matters in line with the firm and SRAβs procedures.
- Contributing to business development activity and networking events on behalf of the firm.
The Candidate
As a Civil Litigation Associate it is essential you can demonstrate the following skills and competencies:
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE in Civil Litigation matters.
- Extensive experience dealing with property litigation matters.
- Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels.
- Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using legal case management software.
