I am currently working with an exciting tech for good e-commerce company who are looking for a full stack engineer to come and join a fast-moving team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role working directly with the CTO to shape the systems that underpin everything they do—from logistics to ledger management to digital experiences.
If you're energised by clean system architecture, care about scalability and performance, and love the idea of building elegant tools that make the business hum—this role is for you. They are a mission-driven start up growing quickly, with a beautiful studio space in London and a customer base that's both passionate and loyal.
You will work on:
- System Architecture: Design and implement robust, scalable systems from the ground up.
- Internal Tools: Build custom dashboards and tools that help us monitor, understand, and optimise our processes.
- Database Design: Own the structure and performance of our PostgreSQL databases.
- Performance Optimisation: Help us run faster, more efficiently—both under the hood and on the web.
- Problem Solving: Be the go-to person when something goes sideways. You love jumping in, fixing things, and making it better next time.
The stack:
- Node.js (backend logic and APIs)
- Next.js (for full-stack and frontend work)
- Shopify APIs (bonus if you've worked with them before)
About you:
- You have 2–4 years of experience building web apps or platforms.
- You think in systems, not just features.
- You have a strong academic background—likely from a top-tier university.
- You're logical, detail-oriented, and enjoy designing clean, maintainable architecture.
