We are working with a Series A backed scale-up that has raised over $30 million. The platform is used by the largest eCommerce companies across Europe to help reduce their CO2 footprint at scale.
The business is primed for the AI-driven scale-up phase and is investing heavily in engineering. They have hired a Director of Engineering from Meta to scale out the engineering team, which currently includes 11 Backend Engineers across Mid/Senior and Staff levels.
The company has signed some of the biggest brands in eCommerce and is now looking to expand features, functionalities, and infrastructure, making it a build phase role.
About The Role
You will join an experienced team working on the platform for couriers to improve loyalty and success. They value problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt technology to fit the problem.
Beyond backend development, you will also handle full-stack responsibilities, including Backend APIs, Cloud Infrastructure, and frontend code improvements. This is a versatile Software Engineer role requiring wearing many hats.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years experience in high-performing software teams.
- Strong experience with backend languages (Python, Golang, Java, Node/TypeScript), with willingness to learn Python if needed.
- Experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Deep understanding of backend systems, cloud infrastructure, and frontend code.
- Proven experience working on scalable software, taking ownership, and wearing many hats.
- Experience in startup or scale-up environments.
