I am working with a UK household brand who are innovating on how companies find a flexible workforce. They are building in new AI features which will revolutionise how interviews are conducted, how business onboarding and payroll is run within the sector. This project is a huge innovation on this already successful product. You will be working on cutting edge AI solutions within this sector and solving complex problems never been looked at before.
You will work within a cross-functional team of researchers, data scientists, and engineers to build the intelligence engines that power decision-making for major UK and international brands. This is a hands-on role where you will move between building demand forecasting models, architecting data pipelines, and deploying solutions into a high-traffic production environment. You may begin in one area of the codebase, but over time you’ll work across multiple parts of the stack—from backend services to data pipelines and API design.
This is an opportunity for someone who delivers high-quality code quickly, values well-structured architecture and knows when to be pragmatic. You’ll help shape best practices, take on meaningful technical challenges and contribute to the scaling of a platform used across the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Build, maintain, and scale machine learning models that drive the core functionality of customer-facing apps and internal dashboards.
- Design robust data systems to optimize storage, retrieval, and processing speed.
- Develop AI models specifically for demand prediction and resource optimization, directly impacting service quality.
- Create ETL processes to ingest and transform messy, multi-source data (specifically API integrations).
- Partner with Data Scientists and Software Engineers to define data needs and ensure seamless integration into the product ecosystem.
- Utilize Python (Django) or Go to support the deployment of ML models.
Proven history of shipping ML products, ideally within demand prediction, computer vision, or optimization. Strong experience with Time Series Forecasting, Sequence Modelling, Signal Processing or Quantitative Analysis. Proficient in Python and SQL. Familiarity with AWS (SageMaker, Lambda) and CI/CD automation. Strong understanding of MLOps, data versioning, and quality management.
