Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Deputy Catering Manager to support the operational delivery and strategic planning of multiple on‑site food outlets serving a large and diverse student community. This position plays a key role in ensuring high‑quality, cost‑effective catering services, excellent customer experiences, and strong operational performance across all venues.
This is a hands‑on leadership role that balances team management, service oversight, food safety, and financial monitoring. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management while actively supporting day‑to‑day operations on the ground.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of multiple catering outlets, ensuring consistent service standards and welcoming customer experiences.
- Support termly planning and contribute to shaping the food offer in line with customer trends and needs.
- Lead and develop a team including supervisors, catering assistants, and student staff.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, operational readiness, and food safety adherence across all catering areas.
