Do you have experience as a Maintenance Technician? Are you looking for a new challenge within a manufacturing company? If so, then we may just have the right role for you! Owen Payne Recruitment are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a leading manufacturing client on a permanent basis located in the Telford area. Due to the nature of this role, previous experience as a Maintenance Technician is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled during the shift to a required standard
- Respond to emergency machine breakdowns throughout the plant
- Help with new designs, installation of new machines and movements of existing machines
- Overhaul and repair of machines and equipment
- Ensuring machines and equipment are safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose
- Conduct continuous machine observation, identifying potential safety risks and taking necessary actions to remove the hazard
- Conduct risk assessment prior to any maintenance work and ensure conclusions are implemented prior to start of work to remove hazards
Candidate Requirements
- Must have minimum 2 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician
- Ability to logically find faults
- Able to read mechanical drawings
- Experience working with chain, sprocket, belt driven machinery
- Worked with circuits from 415 to 24VDC power & control
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance
- Follow company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety
Working Hours
- 06:45 – 16:00 Monday to Friday – Early finish Fridays
- 40 hours work week

- £17.25 per hour
