Owen Payne Recruitment is seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team. Our client is looking for someone who wants to build their career and grow their expertise. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating highway products and infrastructures. This role involves operating an overhead crane to manoeuvre materials and complete tasks efficiently and safely. This exciting position will be a 12-week temporary to permanent assignment for the right candidate!
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Thursday – AM Shift: 05:45 – 14:00 & PM Shift: 14:15 – 22:30
- Friday – AM Shift: 05:45 – 11:45 & PM Shift: 12:00 – 18:00
Rate of Pay: £15.62 per hour plus an additional £11.15 per day on the PM shift + Overtime rates
Key Responsibilities:
- Welding and fabricating highway products and infrastructures according to specifications and industry standards
- Operating an overhead crane to lift, move, and position materials as needed
- Reading and interpreting drawings to determine project requirements
- Inspecting finished products for quality and ensuring they meet specifications
- Maintaining and performing routine checks on welding and fabricating equipment
- Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Fabricator or Welder
- Proficiency in welding techniques and equipment operation
- Experience with operating overhead cranes
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Physical stamina and strength to handle materials and operate equipment
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a fabrication environment
