Owen Payne Recruitment are recruiting for a Store's Operative for our fantastic client located in the Kingswinford area, our client specialises in the build and design of bespoke furniture.
This is a great opportunity to join a well-established and thriving company who are recruiting due to continued growth - This position will be a 12-week temporary to permanent role with a fantastic career growth.
Main Duties
- Receive, check and book in deliveries of raw materials, components and finished goods
- Operate a Counterbalance forklift truck
- Pick and issue materials to production teams in line with daily schedules
- Maintain accurate stock levels through regular stock checks and inventory control
- Ensure all goods are stored safely and organised for efficient retrieval
- Prepare and pack items for dispatch, ensuring correct documentation is completed
- Keep the stores area clean, tidy and compliant with health & safety standards
- Any other duties as and when required
Hours of Work
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am till 4:30pm
- Friday: 7:30am till 2:30pm
Rate of Pay
Requirements
- Must hold an in-date, accredited FLT Counterbalance licence
- Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or materials‑handling role
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills and a positive, team‑focused attitude
