a leading manufacturing company who are seeking an experienced Supervisor to join their growing team across the afternoon shift, in the Bilston area.

This position will be permanent from day 1!

Main Duties

  • Lead and manage the afternoon shift production team to meet delivery, quality and safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and promote a culture of safety
  • Enforce adherence to manufacturing procedures and quality requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure proper handling of non-conforming materials
  • Communicate daily targets and responsibilities to team members clearly
  • Provide visible leadership in the application of procedures and work instructions
  • Allocate labour and resources to meet production requirements
  • Monitor production throughout the shift and respond to issues affecting productivity, quality or delivery
  • Oversee the maintenance and safe use of tools and equipment
  • Carry out manufacturing tasks including fabrication, inspection, packaging and machine operation where required
  • Ensure materials and parts are identified and traceable throughout the process.
  • Set up and operate production equipment (if trained to do so)
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and risk assessments
  • Participate in training, development and business improvement efforts
  • Operate forklifts, cranes or industrial vehicles if qualified
  • Perform equipment maintenance and report any faults or quality issues promptly
  • Comply with all required documentation (e. g. quality sheets, job cards, timesheets)
  • Liaise with Planning, Quality, Maintenance and other departments to ensure production targets are achieved

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous supervisory experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
  • Some experience of using computerised systems would be beneficial
  • Ability to lead, motivate and support the production team
  • Ensure daily targets and customer expectations are being met
  • Taking on ownership of operational challenges and creates a positive, productive environment where people and processes perform at their best.

Working hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 3:30pm till 1:15am

Rate of Pay

  • £25 per day shift allowance
