Owen Payne Recruitment are currently recruiting Hygiene Operatives for a global organisation that is an industry leader in the manufacture of food products for the fast-food supply chain, based in the Wolverhampton (WV9) area. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established food manufacturing company offering competitive pay, a consistent shift pattern, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate (temp to perm).
The Role
As a Hygiene Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out hygiene and cleaning tasks within production areas, including machinery and equipment, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety are maintained.
Key Duties
- Carry out day-to-day hygiene activities in line with operational requirements
- Clean production machinery and equipment safely and effectively
- Inspect equipment and report any damage or risks to the appropriate personnel
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are used and stored correctly
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and submit it on time
- Follow work instructions and report any issues to the Hygiene Team Leader
- Promote a strong health, safety, and environmental culture
- Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and performance
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Hygiene Operative within a manufacturing environment is desired
- Good knowledge and experience of working with cleaning chemicals
- Experience within a food manufacturing environment is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict hygiene procedures
Shift Pattern
You will work a 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern:
- 2 days: 06:45 – 19:00
- 2 nights: 18:45 – 07:00
Pay
£14.90 per hour. Overtime paid at £21.47 per hour.
