The Industrial Cleaner (AM) undertakes cleaning duties within a busy logistics and distribution environment. This role is essential to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the site to support operational efficiency and safety. The post holder works primarily during the early morning shift to prepare the premises for daily activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise designated areas, including floors, walls, windows, and equipment, using appropriate cleaning materials and machinery.
- Remove waste and ensure all rubbish is disposed of correctly in accordance with site procedures and environmental regulations.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and report any faults or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including the safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- Complete cleaning schedules and log activities accurately to demonstrate compliance with site standards.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues or hazards observed during cleaning duties.
- Work collaboratively with site management to support operational needs and respond flexibly to changing priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to understand cleaning instructions and complete records.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Education
- No formal educational qualifications are required; however, a minimum of GCSEs at grade C or above, or equivalent, is desirable.
Experience
