Furniture Assembler

Overview

Owen Payne Recruitment are recruiting for a Furniture Assembler for our client located in the Kingswinford area. Our client specialises in the build and design of bespoke healthcare furniture. The position is based in a purpose-built, clean factory with ongoing investments.

This position will be a 12-week temporary to permanent role with excellent career growth.

Responsibilities

• Assemble frame components using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
• Join frame pieces together using nails, screws, staples, glue, etc
• Ensure all frames meet quality and durability standards
• Repair or reinforce damaged furniture frames as needed
• Hit daily output targets
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace while following health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Proven experience as a Furniture Frame Maker, Carpenter, or similar role
• Skilled in using woodworking techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Knowledge of different types of wood, joints, and construction techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Hours of work

• Monday to Thursday 07:00am – 15:00pm
• Friday 07:00am – 11:00am

Rate of pay

• £13.50 per hour
