Owen Payne Recruitment are seeking skilled Rolling Mill Setter/Operators to join a well-known manufacturing company based in Bilston. Our client is looking for somebody who wants to build their career and grow their expertise. If you're experienced in setting & operating Rolling Mill machines and are looking for a new challenge, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
These roles will be 12 week temp to perm for the right candidate.
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Thursday 07:00-15:45
- Friday 07:00-13:00
Rate of Pay: £17.14 per hour (+ Overtime Rates)
Main Duties:
- Setting and operating rolling mill machines safely
- Adjust machine settings to keep products to the correct size and quality
- Check finished products for defects or damage
- Monitor machines while running and report any faults
- Use measuring tools to check dimensions and quality
- Work with team members to meet production targets
- Carry out basic machine maintenance and daily checks
- Complete simple production records or paperwork
- Operating Overhead Cranes
- Any additional duties as and when required
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience operating Overhead Cranes (Licence preferred)
- Experience in Setting and Operating Rolling Mill Machines
- Previous experience working within a Manufacturing company
- Previous work experience working with steel is a bonus
