Material Handler in Bilston

Owen Payne Recruitment are now recruiting an experienced Material Handler to join their expanding team in the Bilston area.

If you’re an experienced ensuring that materials are in the right place at the right time to support the operations whilst also being responsible for Goods in/out and are looking for a new challenge, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! These roles will be 12 week temp to perm for the right candidate.

PLEASE NOTE FOR THIS POSITION EXPERIENCE OPERATING A COUNTERBALANCE FORKLIFT AND OVERHEAD CRANE IS REQUIRED AS WELL AS AN IN-DATE ACCREDITED FLT LICENCE.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating FLT Counterbalance and overhead crane
• Building and maintaining positive, long-term relationships with departments
• Control the Goods Out Process liaising with the relevant department
• Work closely with the Production supervisors to ensure optimisation of workflow Including movement of materials using lift equipment
• Keep work areas clean and organised
• Provide support to other departments when required
• Update and maintain basic info in MRP System
• Basic administrative duties

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday 07:00-15:45
• Friday 07:00-13:00

Rate of Pay

£14.38 per hour + Overtime rates

Qualifications & Experience

• Working knowledge of MRP systems
• Working knowledge of Goods In / Inventory Management
• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift
• Previous experience operating an Overhead Crane
• In-date accredited FLT Counterbalance Licence
• Overhead Crane (licence does not have to be in date)
• PC Literate
• Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
