Owen Payne Recruitment are now recruiting experienced Steel Fabricators to join their expanding team in the Bilston area. If you’re a skilled Steel Fabricator looking to take the next step in your career, this 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity could be exactly what you’ve been waiting for. You will play a key role in assembling and fabricating mechanical components, products, and structures using a variety of tools and equipment—ensuring all work meets the highest industry standards within a leading manufacturing environment.
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00–15:45
- Friday: 07:00–13:00
Rate of Pay:
£16.32 - £17.85 per hour (DOE) + enhanced overtime rates
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricating highway products and infrastructures according to specifications and industry standards
- Operating an overhead crane to lift, move, and position materials as needed
- Reading and interpreting drawings to determine project requirements
- Inspecting finished products for quality and ensuring they meet specifications
- Maintaining and performing routine checks on welding and fabricating equipment
- Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Any additional duties as and when required
Candidate Requirements:
- Must have previous Steel Fabrication experience
- Must be able to read drawings
- Experience with operating overhead cranes preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a fabrication environment
