Owen Mumford is looking to hire an ambitious Transport Planner! The Transport Planner will be responsible for the planning and scheduling outbound transport as well as being the key point of contact for all 3PL transport providers and customs clearance instructions. This position is for maternity cover and is offered full time on a fixed term contract (12 Months).
Key Responsibilities:
- To plan, book and communicate all customer and outbound transport.
- To plan, book and communicate all supplier and inbound transport; including cross trade.
- To manage the UK Sales 3rd Party Logistics contract and resolve queries/issues relating to stock held on Owen Mumford's behalf.
- To manage the UK Ecommerce order fulfillment process.
- To monitor dispatches and proactively communicate ETAs.
- To monitor and report on vehicle utilisation.
- To construct and communicate transport KPIs.
- To manage the outbound logistics, ensuring the correct Incoterms are in place; and ensure that agreed despatch times are in place.
- To support the management of the Owen Mumford deferment account and provide monthly accounting reports for all exports.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Knowledge of Freight / Transport processes.
- Import/Export Process Knowledge.
- Experience in planning.
- Experience in dealing with 3PLs.
