Owen Mumford is looking to hire a enthusiastic Calibration Technician. Could this be your next role?

As the Calibration Technician you will have effective management and completion of all calibration of instruments within the Caliso Data base and ensuring that all new equipment is added to the data base.

Please be aware this role is offered full time on a 6 month fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing scheduled calibrations in accordance with approved calibration procedures, ensuring all work is completed accurately and on or before the required due dates.
  • Reviewing and optimising calibration frequencies based on equipment usage, criticality and application, updating schedules in line with company procedures where appropriate.
  • Reviewing and approving calibration certificates received from external calibration providers to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing calibration equipment, the Caliso calibration management system and associated documentation, maintaining accurate, audit-ready records in accordance with company procedures, GMP requirements and quality standards.
  • Preparing and reporting monthly calibration KPIs, ensuring they are issued to the line manager within agreed timescales.
  • Raising purchase requisitions for external calibration services and coordinating supplier activities to minimise disruption to manufacturing operations.
  • Reviewing and approving calibration records and equipment status labels to ensure the integrity of calibration data.
  • Identifying and removing equipment that fails calibration from service, ensuring appropriate action is taken to prevent its use until resolved.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance calibration processes, compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Maintaining full compliance with company quality systems, Health & Safety policies, environmental standards and regulatory requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will need

  • A minimum of 2 years experience and knowledge in Quality Experience of calibration procedures/databases
  • Highly computer literate e. g. Excel/Word and Power Point
  • Effective team worker, equally able to work on their own
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
