My client is looking to appoint an experienced Technical Coordinator to join their team, acting as the key link between design and on-site construction within the region. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring technical issues are identified early, managed effectively, and resolved in a timely and cost-efficient manner. You will work closely with regional teams while maintaining strong links with the central Technical function.

What you will be doing
- Acting as the main point of contact for technical issues within the region
- Providing the link between design and on-site construction
- Liaising with the central Technical team to ensure workloads are prioritised and delivered
- Supporting the Land team with the preparation of appraisal layouts
- Assisting with the coordination of consultants and technical information
- Ensuring technical matters are dealt with in a timely and cost-effective way
What we are looking for
- Experience working as a Technical Coordinator or in a similar technical role
- Background with a housebuilder and a strong understanding of regional operations
- Good all-round knowledge of technical issues, including Building Regulations and NHBC standards
- Ability to prepare appraisal layouts
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with multiple internal teams
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider team
- Able to identify the right people to involve when technical input is required
- Corporate membership of a recognised professional body
- Strong understanding of the competing demands of Land, Production, Sales, and Commercial teams
Additional responsibilities
- Supporting the evaluation and management of consultant and subcontractor proposals
- Assisting with value engineering of construction options
- Making informed decisions at regional level and knowing when to escalate
- Proactively problem-solving using personal expertise while drawing on wider support when required
- Building strong working relationships across Technical, Sales, and Construction teams
