Quantity Surveyor
South London / London & South East | £80,000 - £90,000 + Benefits + Employee Ownership Scheme
We're working with a growing and highly regarded specialist construction and building services business that delivers a diverse range of refurbishment, fit-out, upgrade and new-build projects across London and the South East.
The business operates within technically complex environments, combining construction delivery with modern building technology, M&E services and intelligent building systems.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working across multiple projects rather than being tied to a single development.
Projects range from commercial fit-outs and refurbishment schemes through to larger new-build developments, often within technically complex M&E and building services environments.
You will support projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with project teams, subcontractors and senior stakeholders to ensure commercial performance and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Construction
- Quantity take-offs and preparation of cost plans
- Budget management and commercial input during tender stages
- Supporting estimating and pre-construction activities
- Commercial review of project documentation and specifications
- Post-Contract
- Management of subcontractor packages and accounts
- Preparation of valuations, variations and final accounts
- Cost reporting and cost value reconciliations
- Monitoring project cash flow and commercial performance
- Administration of contractual notices and correspondence
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Supporting monthly commercial reporting and forecasting
- Attending project and internal commercial review meetings
About You
- We are keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who have experience within:
- M&E contracting
- Building services
- Commercial fit-out projects
- Building controls and BMS environments
- Technical construction projects
- Refurbishment and upgrade schemes
- New-build commercial developments
You will ideally have
- A Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent industry experience
- Experience administering JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Strong cost management and commercial reporting skills
- The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience working on multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
