Our client are now looking for a Mechanical Fitter on a permanent basis.Welder FabricatorPermanent£34,000 – £38,000Overtime AvailableMonday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pmSandyOverviewWelding and fabrication in stainless steel material 1.0mm – 12mm thickness including pipework/purge. Both Tig and Synergic Mig welding processes are utilised. It is expected you will have experience in reading engineering drawings, understand tolerances/bend allowances /be experienced in fabrication and sheet-metal machinery.Other Responsibilities
- TIG & MIG Welding
- Working from engineering drawings
- Bend allowances, fabricating sheet metal for process machinery
- To carry out a policy of quality engineering when working in the factory / on site.
- To maintain standards on safety, hygiene, discipline, attendance, and good time keeping.
City & Guilds Qualifications in Engineering would be an advantage or a good engineering background.What we can offer:

You would be contracted to work 39 hours per week, Monday – Friday with a 10 minute break 10.00 am – 10.10 am and ½ hour lunch-break 1.00 pm – 1.30 pmWorking Hours:Monday 7.30 am – 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm – 4.00 pmTuesday 7.30 am – 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm – 4.30 pmWednesday/Thursday 7.30 am – 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm – 5.00 pmFriday 7.30 am – 12 noon (unless working overtime).Overtime is generally available paid at 1.5 times hourly rate Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings.
