Are you an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer? Have you worked with sheet metal, fabrication, and weldments? Have you previously managed a team? Do you have knowledge of Inventor or SolidWorks? If so, our client, a growing manufacturing business based in Woking, is recruiting for a Senior Design Engineer.
Utilising Autodesk Inventor for concept modelling, detailed manufacturing drawings, part and assembly modelling, parametric design, and CAD simulation for optimization and structural analysis. Ensuring that the design team meets deadlines through communication, planning, and monitoring. Organising design review meetings and managing engineering changes and library parts. Leading the team through daily meetings and communication with stakeholders. Managing personal design projects and overseeing all aspects of the design department's functions.
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Holder of an engineering degree or relevant qualification.
- Prior experience managing or leading a team.
- Strong knowledge of Inventor or SolidWorks.
- Experience with manufacturing processes including weldments, fabrication, and sheet metal.
