Job Description

Are you an experienced Senior CNC Miller and looking for your next role? If so this could be the perfect opportunity for you! Our client is a global, leading precision component manufacturer primarily operating in the Aerospace sector. They manufacture precision engineered parts and are looking for an experienced Senior CNC Miller to join their growing organisation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience setting and operating CNC milling machines (at least 3 Axis) and will possess a ‘can do’ attitude. Previous experience working within the aerospace industry and exposure to Heidenhain controls would be perfect, although this isn’t essential.Senior CNC MillerPermanentSalary dependant on experience07.00 to 16.00 or 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday07.00 to 12.00 on FridaysDerbySenior CNC MillerJob Description
  • Set and operate CNC Milling machines.
  • Read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
  • Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Complete machining operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels.
  • Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
  • Provide technical support to the team and Mentor and provide training for apprentices, trainees, and new starters 
  • Provide input for new quotation

  • Experience setting and operating CNC Milling machines (at least 3 axis)
  • Well-versed machining high precision metal components for a highly regulated industry
