Owen Daniels is delighted to be working with a prestigious aerospace company who are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality standards across their manufacturing processes, focusing on Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.

Job Description

  • Contribute to the successful implementation of APQP processes within internal systems and across new product introduction (NPI) projects.
  • Create, manage, and update PPAP documentation to meet both internal requirements and customer expectations.
  • Drive Zero Defect initiatives across manufacturing lines to improve quality and reduce defects in both existing and new programs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve non-conformances, ensuring effective root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Participate in advanced quality planning, ensuring all customer requirements are embedded early in the product lifecycle.
  • Oversee and report on the progress of PPAP submissions, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of supporting documents.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in manufacturing and assembly operations, and support the implementation of practical, sustainable solutions.
  • Assist with external and internal quality audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and managing the closure of any findings.

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Will have 2 years of experience applying APQP and PPAP in an engineering or manufacturing within an aerospace.
  • Experience working within an AS9100 certified environment.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with PFMEA, process control, and MSA applications.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
  • Has knowledge of EASA.
