We are seeking an experienced Product Design Engineer to join our client's established design team, supporting the development and modification of sheet metal and electromechanical products.
You will play a key role in developing practical, manufacturable solutions for a range of customer requirements, working closely with manufacturing, customers and the wider design team.

Job Description
- Modify and develop existing products to create bespoke variants in line with customer requirements
- Design and develop sheet metal, machined and electromechanical components and systems
- Produce accurate CAD designs and engineering drawings
- Work with steel and aluminium, considering manufacturability and sustainability throughout the design process
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing and shop-floor teams to ensure designs are practical and suitable for production
- Respond to customer requirements and provide effective design solutions
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Strong CAD and mechanical design experience
- Experience working with sheet metal and/or machined components
- Ability to work quickly and accurately within a fast-turnaround manufacturing environment
- Opportunity to buy or sell up to 5 days’ annual leave
